- All entries must be submitted online using the official entry form.
- Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
- All completed submissions will be treated as Entries and will be handled as such for the purpose of the awards and subsequent promotion through Highways Magazine and the Highways Magazine Excellence Awards website.
- All communication and supporting documentation must include the entry reference number as advised on confirmation of receipt of entry email. The organisers accept no responsibility for supporting documentation, which does not include the entry reference number.
- Any product, scheme or initiative can only be entered for one category. The judges reserve the right to change the category entered should they deem it necessary.
- Supporting documentation should consist of no more than 10 x A4 pages plus any relevant supporting technical diagrams, photographs, CD / DVD's, references or similar.
- A hard copy of all supporting documentation must be received by 13th August 2010. This should be sent to:
HMEA 2010, C/O MSS, 9 Albert Drive, Victoria Business Park, Burgess Hill, West Sussex RH15 9TN.
- An additional copy of the 10 x A4 pages only should be emailed by 13th August 2010 to: samantha@aladltd.co.uk
- Any supporting graphics/images/videos may be supplied as a part of a PowerPoint presentation on disk only.
- Please note we cannot accept responsibility for entries submitted on disks that cannot be read
- There will be no advance notification of award winners however a short list will be announced via the Highways magazine website and the September issue of the magazine.
- The Judging Panel's decision will remain final and correspondence will not be entered into relating to the judging process, unless instigated by the Judging Panel.
- The organisers cannot be held responsible for documentation not received.
- 13th August 2010 is the final closing date. Documentation received after that date will not be accepted.
ALL completed applications will be judged on:
- The quality of the improvements they have made to the UK's Highway Maintenance and Traffic Related Industry
- Clear demonstration that the entry meets the required elements of the criteria for the category entered
Industry references may be sought as part of the judging process to ensure the integrity of the judging system.
